Abstract

Digital transformation is having an increasing impact on all areas of activity. The introduction and use of innovative methods and technologies is a priority task for every organization and enterprise. To maintain a competitive position, business processes are being improved. All this is associated with an increase in the competencies and functions of employees. In this regard, one of the key problems of the economy is the shortage of personnel. The demand for skilled and unskilled personnel significantly exceeds supply: organizations cannot find the necessary workers, which negatively affects the economic growth and development of countries. The article examines the key consequences of a lack of qualified employees, as well as the challenges of personnel shortages and ways to eliminate them. It is shown that there are basic directions and tools for solving the problem of a lack of specialists, the timely use of which will allow companies not only to stay afloat, but also to develop within the framework of corporate strategies.
