Abstract

Among the 285 business entities in Russia’s oil production segment, only large, vertically integrated oil companies have approved a digital transformation strategy. At the same time, despite the fact that the management of companies undoubtedly has an understanding of the dependence of competitiveness in the long term on deep and high-quality digitalization of processes, nevertheless, strategies were developed and adopted, for the most part, under pressure from the industry ministry. Subsidiaries and independent oil companies do not have such strategies or roadmaps. In this regard, the topic of digital transformation of oil-producing enterprises raised in the article is relevant. The object of the study is an oil producing enterprise as part of a vertically integrated oil company. The subject of the study is the activity related to the digital transformation of the enterprise. The purpose of the study is to formulate goals, objectives and approaches to the digital transformation of an oil producing enterprise at the strategic and tactical levels. Research methods: analysis, synthesis, comparison, analogy, systematic approach. As a result of the study, the problems and opportunities of digital transformation of organizations in the oil production segment were identified due to the specifics of their activities. The goals and objectives of digital transformation for the long term up to 10 years and at the tactical level (two to three years) are disclosed.
