Abstract

The digital economy is an effective tool to offset the negative economic impact of geopolitical tensions and supply chain disruptions around the world, but studies assessing the role of the digital economy in the economic growth of countries remain limited in scope and content of research. The object of study is economic growth. The subject of the study is models of economic growth in the digital economy. The purpose of the study is to consider the evolution of economic growth models and their modern interpretation in the digital economy. The article presents the Solow Model, the Ramsey-Cass-Koopmans Model, the Aka Model, the Harrod-Domar Model, the Nelson-Swanson Model, and the Barro-Sala-i-Martin model of technology diffusion. The results of the study indicate the absence of reliable mathematical models of economic growth caused by the factor of digital development of society, despite the fact that the digital economy has a significant impact on economic growth and social development. The economic growth model must take into account the impact mechanisms that involve promoting the modernization of the industrial structure, digital growth and development with transitions to new forms of employment.
