Abstract

This article examines the distinctive features and characteristics of the functioning of employees in the unstable working environment of modern museums. The author describes the strengths (working in a small team, establishing informal relationships with colleagues) and weaknesses (low pay, difficulties with adaptation in the workplace) of employment in organizations of this type. In addition, methods are proposed for assessing the human resources potential of modern museums using specially developed assessment techniques. Personnel potential, according to the article, includes a set of both characteristics and competencies of specific employees. The personal qualities of the organization’s personnel are also important. Finally, the article describes the existing problems of developing the human resources potential of employees in organizations that are related to the museum business.
