Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the labor market in the power grid sector. It was noted that the problem of shortage of workers, the so-called, is acute. “blue collar” workers and the observed negative trend in the Russian labor market is the aging of the labor force and the shortage of specialist workers. The categories of statistical analysis for wages of basic specialties are considered. A critical source of replenishment and renewal of labor resources is the vocational education system and the material interest of young personnel in working in the electric grid sector. In 2023, the average salary of energy workers varies from 40,230 rubles. up to 86,000 rub. Its growth compared to 2022 is 43%. A correlation analysis of materials on salary and qualification indicators was carried out. Key problems are outlined and trends in the development of the economic sector are determined. Employees in the electrical grid industry can be motivated by different things. It is important that they understand the importance of their work. If people see that their efforts have a direct impact on energy security and people’s daily lives, this can be a powerful incentive. As a result of the study, problems in managing blue-collar professions were noted. In the course of the study, the main indicators in the labor market in the power grid sector were analyzed. It was revealed that young specialists are in demand in the labor market in this area, and most vacancies do not require experience. The total supply of labor is growing every year; specialists are most in demand in Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as in the Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk regions and Krasnoyarsk Territory. There is a shortage of personnel in a number of key areas, especially in terms of specialists with higher and secondary vocational education. Monitoring showed the need to raise salary expectations to attract young people to work in the power grid sector.
