Abstract

Today there is no doubt about the key role of globalization in the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises, which leads to an increase in efforts to manage the processes of their internationalization. The object of the study is the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. The subject of the study - factors contributing to the entry of small and medium-sized businesses into international markets. The purpose of the study is to consider examining the study of the current approaches and viewpoints that explain the causes and drivers of internationalization of SMEs. In the course of the study, it is found that the drivers of SMEs internationalization can be examined from the perspective of availability and access of necessary resources as well as the conditions of their operating environment. It is recognized that the drivers of entry into the global entrepreneurial environment can be both reactive reasons and proactive determinants.
