Abstract

Trade liberalisation has its benefits, but there are also challenges that require careful analysis and management to maximise the benefits of international trade. The object of the study is the national economy. The subject of the study is the state of the national economy. The objective of the study is to examine the opportunities and contradictions of trade liberalisation in national development. It is concluded that most national economies did go through a period of trade protectionism in the initial stages of their development, however, as the world economy develops and the terms of trade change, strategies may change. Therefore, it is important to balance the benefits of open trade with the need to protect the interests of developing economies and support and facilitation measures can be introduced to address inequalities and stimulate sustainable economic development of national economies.
