Abstract

Based on the analysis of statistical data, the article presents an assessment of the state of the construction industry in Russia after the introduction of large-scale sanctions restrictions. The factors contributing to the stabilization of the industry and the barriers preventing a more complete use of the potential of construction as the locomotive of the entire Russian economy are described. The problem of increasing the cost of construction due to rising prices for materials and components, increasing logistical costs, reducing the migration flow and increasing the cost of labor is raised. Despite some progress in reducing the import dependence of construction on Western components and technologies, there remains a need for foreign supplies, especially in the field of industrial construction. The construction industry as a whole has been able to adapt to the deterioration of business conditions and rebuild supply chains of equipment and materials.
