Abstract

The change in energy policy and the political world order in 2022 is the starting point of a new formation in which the distribution of energy resources in terms of logistics, consumption and generation has radically changed. The concept of sustainable development, which remains a priority for international institutions on the “green” agenda of political and economic programs, inevitably transforms under existing changes, hence the object of this study is energy, as an area of economic activity that meets the needs of society in energy resources. The subject of the study is the concept of sustainable development in terms of a new energy formation that has developed within the framework of changes in international relations and interests in 2022. The purpose of the study is to consider how the change in the distribution of energy resources in the modern world changes the content of the concept of sustainable development within the framework of the “green” agenda postulated by international institutions. The research methodology consists in a logical and methodological procedure for analyzing theoretical and statistical sources based on generally accepted methods of scientific cognition: deduction and induction. The main results of the study: - It has been revealed that a significant part of the public space is reduced in energy availability of resources; - There is a significant increase in the global spending of national governments on sustainable development; - The imbalance of the world market of energy resources is achieved not by market competitive mechanisms of struggle, but by instruments of environmental terrorism; - It has been revealed that there is a stable, insurmountable contradiction between the actions of Western countries in relation to Russia as a global supplier of energy resources and the concepts of sustainable development.
